Our Healing Path of Cacao
A Brief History of the Cacao Ceremony
A Cacao Ceremony is a medicinal & healing experience for your mind, body, and spirit. Its origins source back to 1900 B.C., ancient Mayan and Aztec worlds. Traditionally Cacao Ceremonies have been conducted by the Maya and Ancient Aztec civilizations. Ancient shamans conducted ceremonies for spiritual healing, warriors to combat, or to prepare for long-distance journeys.
Our Healing Experience with Cacao
All through our lives, we’ve encountered cacao in different forms, but our travels and interactions with Mesoamerican communities in Mexico and Guatemala enlightened our consciousness of the healing power of “kakaw,”; Giving us an in-depth understanding and appreciation of this spiritual medicine. Ceremonial cacao has been a pivotal element of our spiritual journey. Through the years, we’ve been blessed to spend time with Mayan elders and healers who have taught and encouraged us to practice the medicinal rituals of Cacao; as we continue to seek the Wisdom of cacao. In the words of our Mayan Elder: "Comparte el espíritu del cacao" - Share the Spirit of Cacao.
Duration of your Ceremony
We invite you to join us for a unique two-hour desert healing ceremony that includes a curation of several healing modules: yoga, breath-work, and aromatherapy, followed by a soothing vibration of sound bowls — A Soul Boosting Experience.
Cacao Ceremony is the ultimate self-care and healing ritual. It helps with restoring self-love and clarity and enhancing your intuition. Let this path into your journey to experience freedom and your intrinsic bliss. Enter a sacred space that lets you off your regular frame of mind, allowing you to share new insights & perspectives.
What does it taste like?
The Cacao tastes like a thick, earthy, intense dark chocolate with a fruity, slightly bitter undertone. It is not the same cacao as regular chocolate, and it doesn’t taste anything like hot chocolate. Our organic ceremonial cacao is safe; grown with pure spiritual intentions and blessings from harvest, drying, roasting, fermentation, drying, and ultimately grading and packaging. A mediation dose is blended with natural herbs and then safely set aside for a healing tribute.
How to Prepare for your Ceremony
- Come with an open mind before the ceremony starts inviting intrinsic healing - surrender to the process.
- Kindly avoid the consumption of any alcoholic beverages for the ceremony
- Wear natural or light colors ( think earth tones - preferably white). Whites are known to attract positive spiritual energy and cultivate purity for the wearer.
- Wear comfortable and loose clothing (you will be lying and sitting down during your ceremony)
- Barefoot and Free - expect to take off your shoes
- Good Vibes
Cacao is a Medicine
A Cacao Ceremony is not an entertainment “trip” or drug-induced ritual; Cacao Ceremonies are a “facilitator” of self-reflection and spiritual awakening. Cacao should call you, and if your spirit is hesitant, you should consider other healing mediums and not cacao, as this is a sacred practice that we honor and should be shared respectfully with those who seek.
Don't overthink if you may or may not experience a spiritual awakening or revelation. Every one of us receives a unique experience from these ceremonies depending on which path we’re traveling or have traveled. Many are surprised by the experience beyond belief, and some leave rejuvenated. Keep an open mind; take this time to self-explore through the process. In the end; you will find what you were meant to receive from the experience.
The Best Way to Understand a Cacao Ceremony is to try it
This experience is unique to each person, based on your intentions and mindset. Not one experience resembles another; all are unique and never the same. In the healing spirit of “kakaw”; We welcome the curious first-timers and the loyal cacao enthusiasts with love and a smile.
